DATA LOG: 2000.8.30
Wow, two updates in one month. I might just get the hang of this yet. :) Two seems to be my lucky number today because I have two items of interest. (Well interesting to me, anyhow.)

First: To my great surprise and happiness, my Quake2 map (The Longest Three Feet) is the Featured Level this week at Planetquake. The reviewer was very kind and had nothing but good things to say. You can check out the 'review' here.

My map (chaosdm_tltf) is also featured in the MAPS section of the ChaosDM home page. Thank you so much Chaotic Dreams! See what 'Weasy' had to say about my map here.

Second: Floyd McMichael was officially the first person to guess where the artwork below came from on the first try. The picture is found on the inside front cover of Appleseed: Book 1.

If you haven't read Appleseed you are missing out. The world created within the books by author Masamune Shirow is intricate, fascinating, intriguing and deep. I was hoping to have my Appleseed web page up when someone guessed the picture source correctly, but you'll have to look elsewhere to find out about the manga - for now. Do a search for Appleseed or Masamune Shirow and see if what shows up interests you. The graphic novels are still available in America from Dark Horse Comics.

This page update is WAY overdue, but there's a good reason for that. (I'm sure I'll think of one.)

Anyhow, after months of hacking and slashing away, I have finally finished my first Quake 2 map! It's a backwards conversion of 'The Longest Yard' (Q3DM17). If you're having trouble remembering the Q3 version, check out my Games page for pics.

The map was originally designed as a Q2 Chaos DM map, but there are two vanilla Q2 DM versions available as well (all is explained in the text files). So please, check out the screenshots, grab the maps, and gib something. As we say in the {Moo Clan}, 'Fun Fraggin' or Die!' :)

P.S. Kudos to anyone who can tell me where the image below came from. :)

This page is under construction, so please pardon my loose prose.

What you will eventually see here is a collection of observations, overviews, and praises of selective entertainment media that I thoroughly enjoy or hold dear.
